Changemakers 2023 Conference Launches

Kids+ announces the launch of its second bi-annual conference, Changemakers.

Changemakers are motivated towards action, with a focus on solving social problems.

Changemakers takes place at RACV Resort, Torquay from 23rd – 24th March 2023, and is an opportunity for people within the disability community to come together, share ideas, make connections, and build collaborative networks to drive social change.

International speakers include renowned disability rights advocate, Judith ‘Judy’ Heumann, who served in the Clinton and Obama Administration, Rachel Teplicky from CanChild, Ontario, Canada, Jayne Singer, from Boston Children’s Hospital, and Gillian Saloojee who is a South African therapist working with children who have cerebral palsy.

With closer to home appearances from Australian and New Zealand speakers Christine Imms (Apex Australia Chair of Neurodevelopment and Disability at the University of Melbourne), Carolyn Simmons (Aotearoa New Zealand registered occupational therapist/kaiwhakaora ngangahau), and Jo Watson (Director of the Post Graduate program in Disability and Inclusion at Deakin University)

Hear from a well-balanced mix of speakers with lived experience, clinicians, family and support workers, and industry leading technology exhibitors.
