Kids
Plus is an intensive, goal focused, therapy
programs for babies, children and teenagers with physical, neuro
developmental disabilities. These special needs include cerebral palsy,
brain injury &
stroke.
The Kids Plus Foundation
Kids Plus Foundation was
founded in 2003
with the objective of providing specialist intensive therapy
services to children
with neuro-physical disabilities.
It is a charitable
organisation, run by parents and
other volunteers, to assist children with special paediatric therapy
needs. Kids Plus Foundation has deductible gift recipient status
(DGR) and charitable status (TCC).
There is no cost
to children and their families to attend Kids Plus, and the
organisation does
not receive any government funding. Kids Plus is
funded solely by financial
and professional support from our
community to provide this paediatric therapy service, and all
donations are
gratefully accepted.

The
Kids Plus Therapy Program
Kids Plus is based in
Geelong. It is a family centered therapy service for babies,
children and
teenagers (0-18 years old) and their families from the Barwon Region.
Kids
Plus is open to eligible babies, children and teenagers with physical,
motor sensory
difficulties in particular children with cerebral palsy,
stroke or brain injury
The aim is to assist each child with improving coordination and mobility, eating and drinking,
communication, and self care, in order to support child development,
independence, education and family & social interaction.
The
therapy program
incorporates physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology.
The therapists are experienced paediatric specialists, and the program
utilises the Bobath/Neuro Developmental Treatment model of therapy.
