Kids+ Research Project Update

Kids+ Research

 

Kids+ is delighted to provide an update on an ongoing research project which is funded by the Anthony Costa Foundation, Geelong Community Foundation and Percy Baxter Charitable Trust (Managed by Perpetual)

The project, which spans over 3 years, aims to develop Kids+ research platform and in doing so, inform and influence allied health practices to improve outcomes for young people with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Now in its second year, our funders, we have:

·        Appointed of a Research Director & Research Coordinator

·        Coordinated & facilitate advisory group meetings

·        Commenced identifying research priorities of Kids+ clients, families & staff to guide our research program

·        Strengthened partnerships with Deakin University and Australian Catholic University

·        Developed Kids+ Research Strategy, Research Governance Policy & Research Governance Procedure

For year 3 (2024) and beyond, we aim to:

·        Undertake high quality, innovative research projects in the priority areas identified by clients, caregivers and staff

·        Build the research capability and capacity of Kids+ including our clients, caregivers and staff

·        Secure funding for research projects

·        Translate research into practice
