Dr Katherine SanchezSpeech Pathologist and Researcher | Murdoch Children's Research Centre

    Dr Katherine Sanchez is a speech pathologist and researcher. Her research centres around developmental outcomes for children with complex medical/surgical backgrounds—particularly children born preterm, who were the topic of her PhD thesis.

    She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, investigating outcomes for children with congenital heart disease; and co-owns a private speech pathology practice, Protea Therapy, where she delivers evidence-based services to young children with communication and feeding difficulties. Dr Sanchez also works as a writer and editor, translating scientific evidence into useable information for clinical speech pathologists.
