Participation in sport and physical activity has changed for children with cerebral palsy over the last few decades.

Understanding of what participation looks like has expanded beyond the child and their ability to include their family, their community, and their school.  It considers a range of internal and environmental factors which enable the child to participate in activities of their choosing.

To reflect and cultivate this Kids Plus Foundation has also expanded and developed the types of therapy-based programs it offers to supports children’s participation in sport and physical activity. This includes group therapy programs, bike / trike riding programs, surf experience and looking at new equipment like Race Runners.

Partnership with community organisations is integral to supporting kids’ participation in programs like surf ed.
