In News, Story

We love our team at Kids Plus Foundation, so we’re excited to share a little bit more about the people who make the place what it is.

Read on to get to know our Occupational Therapist Erin a little bit better!

What made you decide to pursue this line of work?

I’ve always wanted to work with people and healthcare had appealed to me. When looking into different options, within health services, the principles of Occupational Therapy resonated with me as I strongly believe that everyone has the right to inclusion and participation. OT was the perfect combination of working with people in a fun and meaningful way to achieve their goals whilst supporting and promoting inclusion.

And what do you love about it?

I love the diversity and the amazing people I meet along the way

Can you please tell us a bit about your role at Kids Plus and some of the things you look after:

Working with the therapy team to deliver OT services to individuals and their families. Assessment and treatment covering a range of areas including play skills and self-care tasks, sensory processing and sensory regulation, using the play-based learning principles.

What do you enjoy doing on weekends?

Going to the beach, enjoying the outdoors and catching up with friends.

What’s something people wouldn’t know about you?

I love a good cheese platter.

How would your friends describe you in three words?

Thoughtful, genuine, easy-going.
