Emma Moore receives the 'Donna Shaw Spirit of Kids+ Award' 2021

Kids+ is delighted to announce that the 2021 recipient of the Donna Shaw Spirit of Kids+ Award is Emma Moore. Emma and her family have been a coming to Kids+ since their son Albie was 4 months old – he is now 6. Emma is a tireless fundraiser for Kids+ and formed Albie’s Allies, who are a group committed to raising awareness and funding for Kids+, as well as Barwon Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital. All three organisations feature heavily in Albie’s care, and the care of many children with complex health needs across the Geelong region.

Emma and Albie’s Allies have raised over $125,000 to date. An incredible effort!

Emma says, “We are so thankful for the ongoing support of Kids+ and the amazing team of therapists. Having a child with an undiagnosed condition is at times isolating, but we have always felt supported by the team at Kids+. We are so grateful for the ongoing support for Albie’s Allies, from our friends, family and wider community, who have helped us raise these funds to date. We know no amount can truly say thank you for the amazing care and support that we have received from Kids+, however we are committed to continuing our fundraising efforts so that Albie, and all children with additional developmental needs, can receive world class care right here in Geelong.”

Congratulations Emma, Kids+ are so grateful for your support.
